John Chacksfield
John teaches all the digital marketing qualifications run by CPA, including the new diplomas in digital marketing. He started life as a bit of a techie but then took on business development roles and discovered the internet in 1998! John quickly became competent in writing HTML and set up an internet café and went on to run his own furniture business online. Now his company specialises in developing digital marketing strategies for clients all over the UK. John also likes to get under the skin of brands and brand experience online. One of his strengths is that he can walk with the techies and talk with the business strategists too so he straddles both disciplines.
John has a passion for building competitive advantage using technology and is highly interested in the neuroscience aspect in terms of how people react with technology and how it is shaping our lives, He finds it particularly fascinating watching his 9 year old son get to grips with the latest devices as second nature. John hopes that his students will say that he is able to bring “real life” experiences into digital marketing and make students see how technology works in real businesses.
